Sad Day

It was a sad day yesterday when I learned that the beloved Pater had passed away. Pater was the priest at the Greek Church when I was growing up. In fact, Pater baptized me. He married my parents. I think he may have baptized my mom as well. I remember Vacation Bible School, his booming voice echoing in the Church, his beautiful chanting during services, and the smile that he always had on his face. The world has lost a wonderful person, but Heaven has gained an angel like no other before. Rest well Pater.
